Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
This course provides students with the knowledge and skills to maintain breathing and circulation in an adult, child and infant following cardiac arrest. Also included in this course is the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
This course follows current Australian Resuscitation Council Guidelines.
Online Theory PLUS 1-2 Hours Classroom Practical ($50) - this course is suitable for people who require refresher training and are comfortable learning theory by themselves online. You will need to complete the practical components of the course within 90 days of completing the online theory. Practical sessions are delivered by our trainers and are normally arranged when booking a course.
Classroom 3-4 Hours ($60) - this course is suitable for people who have no previous First Aid training or prefer traditional trainer lead instruction. This course combines both the theoretical and practical componets.

- Operation of an Automated External Defibrillator
- Demonstration of CPR on an adult, while kneeling on the floor, and infant resuscitation manikin
- Theory assessment – multi-choice question paper
There are no specific entry requirements or pre-requisites.
Upon successful completion, students will receive a Statement of Attainment for HLTAID001 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
The recommended recertification period to ensure competency in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation is 1 year.
